Cover Letter Formatter — Clean Letters in One Minute

← Career StationThe Creative Island · Island 11

Five short fields → one clean, professional cover letter, ready to copy.

How to use this tool

  1. Fill in your name, role and company (minimum), plus the hiring manager's name if you have it.
  2. Write one sentence on why you fit, and one achievement with a number if possible — these two lines are the letter's soul.
  3. Press Generate letter, then copy it into your application.

Example

Achievement line: “I redesigned a client's packaging and their sales rose 22% in six months” — a number, an action and a result in one line. That single sentence does more work than three paragraphs of enthusiasm.

The formula

letter = subject + greeting + intent + why-you + proof + call-to-action + close

What the result means

A cover letter is not a resume in paragraphs — it's the two claims ('I fit' and 'here's proof') a busy reader needs before opening your resume. Keep it under one page, address a human whenever possible, and let the achievement sentence carry the weight.

Frequently asked questions

Should I write a new letter for every application?

Change at least the company, role and the 'why you fit' sentence every time. A letter that says 'your company' to the wrong company ends the application instantly.

Is it okay to start with 'Dear Hiring Manager'?

Yes, when no name exists. Try LinkedIn or the job post first — a real name measurably improves response rates.

Email or attached PDF?

Follow the job post's instruction exactly. In the body of an email, keep the letter short; as an attachment, one page, PDF.

Is my information stored?

No — the letter is assembled in your browser and never uploaded.
