Dhaka → Saidpur, ~320 km, bike giving 35 km/l, petrol 122 ৳/l: 320 ÷ 35 = 9.14 litres → ≈ 1,116 ৳ one way (≈ 3.5 ৳/km).

The formula

litres = distance ÷ mileage  |  cost = litres × price  |  per-km = cost ÷ distance

What the result means

Per-kilometre fuel cost is the number that makes travel decisions rational: share it with passengers, compare it with bus fare, or budget a month of commuting (daily km × 30 × per-km). Mileage varies with traffic and riding style — use your own measured figure, not the brochure's.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my real mileage?

Fill the tank, note the odometer, ride normally, refill and note litres used. Mileage = km ridden ÷ litres refilled. One honest measurement beats any brochure.

Can I use it for CNG vehicles?

Yes — enter the CNG price per litre-equivalent and your km per unit. The arithmetic is identical.

Does it include tolls, servicing or driver cost?

No — this is fuel only. A common rule: add roughly 30–50% on top for full vehicle running cost.
